There’s no better way to spend the month of august then relaxing at the beautiful Oregon coast. We start off august playing in the sand at the annual sand castle building contest. Every year we look forward to spending the day in the historical Taft district of Lincoln city, admiring the amazing creations made from sand. People come from miles around to partake in the fun, yet competitive contest which takes place August 8th and runs from 11:00am to 5:00pm, all ages are invited to join the fun, and registration begins at 11:00am. Remember to pick up one of our kids packages during your stay at Inn at Wecoma which includes some fun beach toys for the kids to build their very own sand castle. This is also one of the last months to enjoy our fun, educational, and also tasty clamming clinics. These clinics include a brief lecture on everything you need to know about locating the calms, digging them up, cleaning and also how to eat them! Diggers must be 14 years of age and older. There’s only two clinics left this month on August 6th and 20th, so if you’re a sea food lover looking to learn some new skills, don’t miss out on this awesome clinic.
